Observation and Monitoring

This is an acceptable strategy for small, asymptomatic tumors, and acoustic neuroma types that may not grow for months or years. However, it is important to understand that hearing becomes more and more compromised over time, even if the tumor does not grow. Provided that the patient conscientiously follows-up with an experienced physician, waiting and watching can be a viable option.
