Cerebrospinal Fluid Fistula (CSF)

CSF is the name given when the liquid surrounding the brain passes outside the body. At the skull base this usually occurs through the nasal cavity or the ear. Treatment should surgically cover this opening to prevent the patient from developing meningitis.
